Accessibility statement

Akko Festival is committed to making its information accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This outdoor shows page was made accessible in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on WCAG at level AA.

Accessibility features on this page

• A clear heading structure, labelled navigation areas and a link to skip straight to the shows.
• Full keyboard operation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• Text alternatives for images and a text description for graphic elements.
• Text and background colour contrast that meets the standard.
• Responsive layout for every screen size and browser zoom, with no horizontal scrolling.
• The page is available in Hebrew, Arabic, English and Russian, with the language and text direction set on every page.
• The operating system's reduced motion setting is respected.
• An accessibility menu: larger and smaller text, high contrast, grayscale, highlighted links, a readable font, text spacing, a large cursor and stopping animations. Your settings are saved in your browser.

Testing

The page was tested in Chrome, Firefox and Safari (WebKit engine), on desktop and in a mobile view, and with an automated accessibility checker (axe).

Known limitations

The Arabic, English and Russian translations are being reviewed. Russian text uses the Rubik typeface, because the festival's brand fonts have no Cyrillic letters. Show and artist names appear as provided by the production. The festival logo, the partner logos and the dates block are images, and each has a full text alternative.
