Outdoor Shows

A musical show by a puppet installation designed as a living statue, created to cheer people up. The show features a collection of songs and pieces that lift people's spirits, encourage them and make them happy, along with sports team chants and Brazilian and African drumming pieces, over which the puppet performs cheers especially for the audience in front of it.

Back when there was only one channel and one broadcaster who hosted every broadcast, he was the super-broadcaster of the 1960s: the one who never misses a scoop, who is everywhere, reporting from the field on huge events, interviewing stars from every field and hosting programs and game shows. The Broadcaster is a clownish show and installation, very funny and interactive. He interviews people from the audience and turns them into champions (World Backgammon Champion, Ashdod Yemenite Step Champion...), and hosts proper-Hebrew quizzes, a general knowledge contest, dating shows, young talent shows and more...

A giant hamsa, about 3 meters tall, that mesmerizes the audience and greets them as a clownish Moroccan grandmother, with plenty of witty, funny blessings for life, and also performs rituals against the evil eye.

Out of a basket emerges a snake who needs no one to play for her in order to dance. She plays the flute herself, winding, dancing and gradually rising out of the basket. The piece moves between moments of stillness, playing and movement, accompanied by background music and flute playing, in nonverbal interaction with the audience. A playful twist on the familiar image of the snake and the flute player, in which the snake is the one who creates her own magic.

Syncope is a character inspired by the ancient craftspeople of the Middle Ages, combining an ancient aesthetic with the spirit of the old circus. In music, syncopation happens when a note arrives exactly where you don't expect it, briefly breaking the familiar rhythm. So it is with the character: out of a longing for expression and release, she moves without definition, time or place. Her body, her movement and the rustling object around her come together into a surreal, enchanted figure that captivates everyone around her with beauty and sound.

The special actors of "The Other Theater" invite you to take a peek and see that what is on the outside doesn't always reflect what is on the inside. The piece asks viewers to open their minds, look at the world from a new perspective, and accept others and those who are different. We will reveal the thoughts inside the heads of the actors, who represent people with intellectual disabilities. AKIM's members are known for their broad worldview, openness, easygoing spirit and creativity, and are always ready to learn and to share unconditional love with everyone around them.

In tense times, between war and work,

we'll try to welcome you with joy and love,

but don't hold us to our word,

for there's no telling what will come out of our mouths.

The Town Criers return to the Akko Festival to call out, talk, play and fool around with the audience, and they will do anything, absolutely anything, except keep their mouths shut.

Who doesn't love singing in the shower? A dry bathtub on a colorful tricycle, a mischievous driver, music rolling down the street, and an audience invited to join the celebration. "Shower Singalong" is a kind of karaoke on the move: funny, musical and joyful, where everyone can sing, fool around and, for a moment, sing as if no one is watching.
